Psychotherapy • Telehealth & In-Person
Therapy that looks at the full context of your life — not just symptoms, but the patterns, relationships, and conditions shaping how you feel and function.
About
Over the past 20+ years, I've worked across a range of settings — including child and family welfare, IICAPS (trained at Yale Child Study Center), hospital-based care, pediatric specialty services, pediatric oncology, addiction treatment, and community mental health fully integrated with primary care.
One thing has remained consistent: emotional struggles rarely come from a single cause.
I approach therapy by looking at how different parts of a person's life interact — psychological patterns, physical health, relationships, and daily structure. When these areas are out of alignment, symptoms often emerge.
My work is not limited to reducing symptoms. It's focused on helping people develop a way of living that feels more stable, intentional, and aligned with what matters to them.
I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), existential therapy, and trauma-informed care — while adapting the work to each individual rather than following a rigid model.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) • Over 15 years in healthcare and behavioral health settings — acute hospital, pediatric specialty clinics, IICAPS, oncology, addiction treatment, and integrated community mental health.
"Not everything that feels wrong is a disorder. Sometimes it's a life asking for a different direction."
How I Work
My approach to therapy is both practical and reflective. I pay attention not only to thoughts and emotions, but also to sleep, physical health, relationships, and the structure of daily life — because these factors strongly influence mental well-being. The goal is not just insight, but meaningful and sustainable change.
Identifying what keeps you stuck — not just symptoms, but the underlying dynamics shaping your experience.
Developing emotional regulation and the capacity to respond — rather than react — to difficult situations.
Clarifying what matters to you and building a life more aligned with that — not a prescribed path, but yours.
Addressing habits, routines, physical health, and relationships as core components of mental well-being — not afterthoughts.
A Distinctive Offering
For some people, sitting in an office can feel limiting or unnatural.
I offer outdoor sessions — walking or sitting in natural settings — where conversation often flows more freely and with less pressure.
Being outdoors can support emotional regulation, provide perspective, and create a different kind of presence that complements the therapeutic process.
This option is available for clients who feel more comfortable engaging in therapy outside of a traditional office setting.

When worry becomes a way of living rather than a response to specific events.
Career changes, relationship shifts, identity questions, and the challenge of what comes next.
Patterns that keep repeating — in partnerships, family, or within yourself.
Addressing substance use within the broader context of a person's life — not in isolation.
A general sense that something is off, even when you can't fully name what it is.
Working with young people navigating identity, family systems, and the pressures of development.
Couples Therapy
I work with couples using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Gottman-informed approaches, focusing on identifying relational patterns, improving communication, and strengthening emotional connection.
The goal is not conflict resolution for its own sake — it's helping partners understand what's happening beneath the surface, so they can respond to each other differently.
